The IF20 Human Trafficking Working Group has been established to ensure that ideas, knowledge, practice and research about policies and strategic initiatives to prevent human trafficking and exploitation are shared with G20 governments, G20 working groups and beyond.
Preventing exploitation requires development and action in a diverse range of domains or knowledge and practice, such as corporate governance, criminal and civil justice, worker-driven action, disruption of fund flows, social support, strategic and operational leadership, and data and intelligence practices. Individually each of these domains contributes significantly to prevention, but each alone are insufficient to provide robust protection for vulnerable populations. Most importantly, we believe that much greater resources are needed to implement systemic change across these domains to systematically improve prevention and to foster sustainable development.
The Working Group meets quarterly while undertaking various ongoing communication activities and work product development.
The Working Group is a partnership between the G20 Interfaith Forum and Praeveni Global.
