Andrea is a human rights lawyer with over 20 years of experience in strategy development, field research, program design, and the implementation of social justice initiatives for vulnerable populations, including survivors of torture, refugee minors, and migrant workers.
As the former Director of the Strategic Initiative on Labor Trafficking at Polaris, Andrea led an international team in conducting research and implementing data-driven strategies to prevent forced labor. Currently, she serves as the Director for Labor Affairs at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, where she advances workers’ rights through the development, implementation, and enforcement of U.S. trade policies related to labor. In this role, Andrea enforces critical provisions such as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement’s Rapid Response Labor Mechanism, ensuring compliance with labor commitments and the protection of workers’ rights in international trade.
